Beyonka Wilson
Beyonka Wilson works as the Director of Business Development in an effort to help small and large businesses grow and succeed. She is the liaison for Williamsburg County Development Board in its partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and its consultants in an effort to help businesses as well as aspiring entrepreneurs with their business plans and goals.
She also oversees the Business Hub which is located inside the Williamsburg County Development Complex. The Business Hub is where webinars, workshops and technical support are offered for individuals free of charge.
During her first year working with Williamsburg County Economic Development Board, she traveled to Dallas, Texas to attend a workshop hosted by the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) where she also became a member. Beyonka is now enrolled in the South Carolina Economic Development Institute hosted by the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association (SCEDA).
Beyonka is a hardworking, motivated and focused worker. She is very passionate about what she does and strives to do her best to help everyone. Beyonka often says, “Working in this position has been one of my biggest blessings.”
While managing her everyday duties as the Director of Business Development, she also assists Williamsburg County citizens with any notary needs.
Beyonka is a graduate of Kingstree Senior High School. After graduating, she continued her education at Benedict College in Columbia S.C., where she received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health. Beyonka was awarded a full-time paid internship at Williamsburg County DHEC after graduation and later continued her career in the health field before obtaining her current position.
Beyonka is a resident of Williamsburg County, and she has one daughter. She considers cooking and cleaning to be her stress relievers, music the key to solving all of her problems, and the gym her energy boost for the next day.
