Williamsburg Technical College
Williamsburg Technical College (WTC), works with various industries to train and certify individuals through various methods and actions. WTC has formed partnerships with local industries to ensure there is a phone call, email or in-person visit when there is a position opened in any of the local businesses or industries. WTC has partnered with ReadySC, Apprenticeship Carolina, SCWorks, local Government Entities and private industries to focus on connecting residents who have skilled experience to careers not just jobs. Likewise, those residents who are not skilled are able to take advantage of multiple opportunities to become trained in a trade that allows them to be gainfully employed at no cost to them via enrolling at WTC. WTC is constantly looking for funding, allocations, and applying for grants, etc. to provide to the resident’s and students of WTC to aid in their education, promotion, and skill-sets in their current or future roles. To date, WTC has employed and provided continued education to over 25 businesses and hundreds of individuals, and will continue their efforts of educating, providing employment and skills-upgrade to promote growth, business, and economic development moving forward.

A division of the SC Technical Education System, readySC works to prepare the workforce to meet the needs of your company, with customized recruiting and training solutions for new jobs created through your relocation or expansion.
Apprenticeship Carolina
Also a part of the SC Technical Education System, Apprenticeship Carolina partners with businesses and communities to provide on the job training and education for workers. This earn-while-you-learn program also provides tax incentives for the employers, with over 1,000 occupations represented.
